| | 0th May 2010 For lovers of Reproduction American Civil War fabrics, we have a quilt for you. Aussie Michelle Yeo has designed 9 different pieced blocks. These blocks are available from 9 shops around Australia, as kits (fabrics and patterns). Go to www.piecesofthepast.com.au and visit the other stores to order your blocks.

It takes the work out of choosing your colours.
This quilt has a pieced centre with appliqué borders.

1 day class … Saturday 28th August (10am – 4pm)
Log Cabin style quilts are always a winner, especially with today’s new colours and designs (of fabrics.)
Beginners as well as experienced quilters can learn how to rotary cut strips to make this traditional block. Flying Geese makes an effective border making them the ‘easy way’.

WE NOW OFFER- AS A BLOCK OF THE MONTH.5 mailings
Do you like red? We are BIG fans. For a bit of fun, we are offering 5 quilts for the year, varying in size, complexity etc. Some will be quite quick to do and others will require more time.
They will have different techniques, blocks, layouts etc. There will be five little red quilts suitable for displaying on walls, stacked on a chair, in a basket to be displayed at Christmas or all year round. The sizes will vary, the first measures 18.5 x 22.5 inches, the second approx 17 inches square and the third is 24 inches square. Participants only know what they will be working on from one class to the next. You will be shown the project for the next class.
